On September 19, 2024 in Washington, D.C., Secretary Mike Pompeo participated in a "fireside chat" focused on Russian influence in the Balkans. Secretary Pompeo was joined by a former prime minister of Bulgaria for the discussion.  The event is a launch for a new foundation run by Valentino Danchev, a tourism industry executive.
